Since I won't be an English Teacher, I wouldn't answer this question. Maybe one day I will become father as you will in next months :), and then I try to teach English to my child. I think, the closest distance for me to be a teacher will be this experience. But, if I were a teacher, I could try to tell about the real life by sharing my experiences maybe. Most probably, I would talk about the politics and most probably I could be fired =). Actually, I have never think about it,but I want to change something. For example, I want to do some changes about exams. I think students reclect their knowladges better in class than in exams. Of course, exams should be, but I want to reduce their percentage of point. I think I am going to be a good teacher because I am patient, so I think I can be patient with my students. However, if they are naughty, I can be a bad teacher. It depends.:)
ahahaha i think nobody does . They are a great shame for educators. I think if you decide to become a teacher one day you will be great one example of effective teachers.
I think I'll be friend with my students in terms of communication to understand what they feel and try to motivate them. Also, I would try to organize some events not to bore students with full of lessons.
Totally agreed being friend with students is the most important thing knowing their mutual and mental needs is important too. during the development period every students needs attention.Özlem your idea is great but exam result system can not be omited by your will however you can ease the exams.
I think I will motivate my students. I will become friendly,dynamic and credible. Apart from being friendly, my attitude will be professional(serious,goal-oriented and adaptable). I want to change the method of teaching English. I may use drama or role play in my lessons. I think it makes the lesson more effective and helps students to become active in the lesson.
Your subject is really interesting and as you can see caught my attention I would be very helpful to my students and share my experiences. and use some pictures to teach vocabulary and some role plays and with the help of this lessons will be effective and students will be enjoying much during lesson time :)
Actually, I will not be a teacher. I have different paths for my future. However, If a be a teacher, I would use social networks for homework. But not in class. Class = Blacboard, Homework = Soc. Nw. :) Moreover, in order not to make students bored I would certainly act as our teacher Derek Dowey. He is very fun! And he brings cakes, beverages and lots of things in the last day of class, I would be mix of Derek(ideal teacher) & Steve(social networks), and a bit Besime Erkmen. ( in class )
